Should I Buy Acai Berry Pills or Acai Berry Juice?

By Travis Van Slooten

With supplements today coming in so many different forms it can be tough for people to determine whether or not acai berry pills are the best way to get their supplements. For a long time, pills were the go to way to get your healthy boosts. You could go to any supplement aisle and see shelves with hundreds of bottles of pills all along the racks. And the reason for this was convenience. You could pop a pill and get 100% of your vitamin or nutrients for the day, just like that. But now you may be noticing some more appealing options in the supplements section. There are health bars covered in chocolate and juices to blend into smoothies. All of these new options are playing toward one thing: your palate.

Who doesn't want to eat great-tasting snacks? While we do want to be healthy, we also want to indulge in flavorful foods with salts and sugars. This is the reason why health supplement companies nowadays have taken to selling healthy foods in flavorful varieties. This holds true with acai supplements. Pure acai berry fruit may be out of reach for most consumers but it doesn't mean they can't get to taste delicious acai as there are now acai berry juices, smoothies, and other recipes using frozen acai. But how do these options compare to the acai capsule?

First, let's talk about the acai berry juice. While yes, it can be flavorful and enticing as compared to taking capsules, acai berry juice may be giving you a little less than what you would expect from an acai product. In addition, while acai berry has yet to be proven as an aid to weight loss, more and more people are taking the acai berry as a supplement that can help with weight loss programs. The thing is, some of these juices may actually contain fillers and sugars which may bring detrimental impacts to your body. Another downside to drinking acai berry juice instead of taking acai pills is that you may be getting only a fraction of the nutrients as compared to what you get from the pills.

When you take acai berry pills however, you can be sure that every capsule you pop into your mouth is your complete daily supplement need, minus the additives that often go into other forms of acai supplements such as sugars or artificial colors. If the convenience and the one-pill-has-it-all nutritional advantage that the capsule offers don't matter to you, the expense probably would. Health supplements don't come cheap and acai berry supplements, in whatever form, can cost too. While acai juices taste great, the fact that you're practically paying the same amount for less of the actual health value that you would get in a pill, may leave a bitter taste in the mouth.

The biggest advantage of going for acai berry juices is that you get to enjoy their delicious flavors with your daily meals. Nevertheless, if the nutrient concentration is what you're after, a single acai pill can offer you so much more, while you can still have a glass of orange juice with it. Above all, you get everything you need minus the extra calories and added ingredients. - 29161
