How To Perform Hypnosis - Influencing The Subconscious Mind

By Trevor Johnson

How to perform hypnosis is actually much easier then you think and it is possible to hypnotize yourself or other individuals. You can learn how to become a hypnotist in just a few weeks though professional training is required if you are looking to turn hypnosis into a career or you are trying to help someone with trauma or fear. By taking on someone for therapy you do not want to hurt him or her rather then help him or her.

The most well known form of hypnosis is conscious hypnosis, in which the individual knows that hey are being hypnotized. To achieve a hypnotic state you will need to get the individual to relax and enter a meditative state where you can then influence their subconscious.

It should be noted that not everyone can be hypnotized. There are specific personalities that cannot be hypnotized and if someone knows that you are trying to hypnotize them then they may fight against it. Generally more vulnerable individuals tend to be easier to hypnotize then very strong personalities.

Covert hypnosis is a form of hypnosis in which the individual does not know that you are hypnotizing them. In this form of hypnosis you use embedded commands within a conversation to influence an individual. Many more individuals are susceptible to covert hypnosis, as they cannot fight it since they do not know that hey are being hypnotized. Generally you need to be friendly and strike up a conversation in which you can have direct eye contact.

It is also possible to hypnotize yourself and this is much like conscious hypnosis. You bring yourself into a relaxed state. The most popular way to perform self-hypnosis is by walking down a staircase in your mind and when you open the door you are in an entirely different place. Then when you are ready you walk back up the stairs to reality. - 29161
