Still Losing Weight on Day 15!

By Amelia Handley

So today is day 15 of the HCG diet. I'm on a 25 day program so I've completed a substantial portion of the program. The diet consumer reviews that I've read insisted that the halfway point was key. They insisted that once you got there you had your habits set and you could go off routine. They said you'd naturally reach for veggies and fruits and that I'd automatically prepare my foods using healthy methods.

I disagree with this particular little grain of knowledge gleaned from the diet consumer reviews. I don't find it easy yet. I don't think I'll ever find it easy. And I think that's alright. I know I'm capable of doing what I'm supposed to do on the HCG diet because I've had perfect days when it comes to my diet. I've got a few yummy recipes under my belt and I feel comfortable knowing that I understand some of the basic tips and strategies. But I can't say that I'm not still tempted just to break the rules.

So I guess that's improvement. Rather than being at a state of "easiness" as indicated by the diet consumer reviews I'm at a state of "awareness." And that's a good step, I'd say. This morning I got on the scale and I was at 156; that's a 3 pound drop. I found it very exciting!

My HCG and B-Total was taken as recommended throughout the day. Although I broke my normal routine and didn't take my B-Total until late afternoon. Usually I take it first thing in the morning. It's one of the additional products that I found mentioned in the diet consumer reviews. And this time I totally agree with the reviews. It's a great addition to the HCG.

For lunch I had a green onion burger (it's in the cookbook) and half a grapefruit. I had Melba Toasts for snack later on in the afternoon. I finally found some more of the Spicy 3 Pepper flavor that is so delicious. I can't decide if it's just in comparison to all the other available "cracker" flavors at my disposal or if I am going to continue thinking they're fabulous post-diet and post-maintenance when I can occasionally indulge in a Cheez It or two. We'll see, I guess.

For dinner I had the taco salad from the cookbook. It was good; not my favorite, but alright. That's probably just because Taco Salad is a classic dish that I grew up with and it's amazingly yummy the way I remember having it throughout my childhood and the HCG version just veered too far away from what I already knew. But it's worth a try for anyone looking for quick, easy, healthy meals that the whole family can eat. - 29161
