Herbalife Review: Are They Worth It?

By Brandon Koon

Herblife Review: Herbalife is a well-known company founded in 1980 to help people improve their nutrition. In the ensuing years, it was expanded to include other quality items, such as personal care products. The founder, Mark Hughes, originally launched the company in Los Angeles, California. A Canadian expansion was undertaken in 1982.

When he started the company, Mr Hughes actually wanted to help people with two different aspects of their lives. Not only did he see a need for better nutrition, but he also saw a way to help put them on better financial footing. People can start their own business as Herbalife distributors, being backed by an already famous line of products. They claim to have a great compensation package and great earning potential. The fact that you have to invest in their company and find your own customers, however, can be severe drawbacks.

One thing you will notice right away on their website is the decided lack of information. If you go to look for it, you instead find a page that wants your contact information. You will not find details on how much of an investment you need to make or how to find customers. Many people are not going to feel comfortable doing this, before they have the answers they are seeking.

Some may also be surprised to find that nutrition does not really seem to be their main concern. Most of their products and sale pitches focus only on weight loss. Though they do have other products for sale, they tend to make you think that everyone has to worry about their weight and being obese. It is already known that this is a problem for some people, but it does not apply to all of us. As a matter of fact, if you do not need to lose weight, these types of sale pitches can be rather upsetting.

Another drawback can be the price of the products themselves. They are not exactly what one could consider inexpensive. While they may be great quality items, it does make you wonder if they are worth the price. There are many products on the market that use high-quality nutritional supplements. Some careful shopping might enable you to find items that contain the same ingredients are much better prices.

Their personal care items are some of the highest priced ones on the market. Everyone likes to take care of their skin, but having to pay $21 for a clarifying face mask is a little outrageous. Many people think that a higher price tag means an item is better than something cheaper, but this is not always true. These products may be great for those that can afford them, but there are many people who will be forced to shop elsewhere. A better pricing structure would surely broaden their customer reach.

If you can afford them, Herbalife can provide a way for you to earn money and purchase great products. However, if you cannot afford them, you are better off looking into what else is out there. These natural supplements are made by many different companies and most have more agreeable prices.

There are many companies that sell similar products, which are much more moderately priced. There are even a few that allow you to distribute their items for little or no investment. Before using their products or getting into their business, be sure to explore all of your options. - 29161
