Tips For Healthy Weight Loss

By Kel Irene

Healthy weight loss can be accomplished when a person has a plan and commitment to create a healthy lifestyle. Through diet and exercise it is possible to lose excess weight and stay toned and healthy. While this is not the fastest way to lose weight, it is healthy and the weight will stay off.

Losing weight on diets often has very negative results for people. When a person goes on a diet, they may lose weight quickly. As soon as they go off of the diet however, the weight comes back. In addition, many people find that when they are on this type of diet they are often fatigued and they do not feel well much of the time.

A healthy life styles will be a holistic approach to losing weight. By beginning slowly many of the adverse reactions to dieting that people experience can be avoided. For instance, when people stop eating sugar, they will often experience severe headaches and dizziness. This is because when the body is addicted to a substance and the substance is removed, the body will react negatively. Sugar withdrawal is very difficult for most dieters.

Starting with the reduction of eating foods and eating healthy snacks is a way to begin losing weight healthy. By identifying what a person is eating during the day through the use of a journal, they can begin to monitor their eating habits. Some people eat when they are under stress or tired. If the bad foods are replaced with healthy alternatives during these stressful times, the weight will stay off.

Beginning an exercise program is successful when done in the same way. By identifying the accidental exercise that a person does during the day, then extending it consciously, a person can start to exercise in a healthy way.

An example is catching the bus. If you walk to the bus every day and have been catching it at the same stop, this is accidental exercise. By extending your walk to the next bus stop, you are consciously exercising. When a person turns accidental exercise into conscious exercise, the brain will not put up obstacles to stop it as happens with committing to go to the gym twice a week. - 29161
