It's my 20th Day on HCG!

By Amelia Handley

I feel like making up a sing songy chant: Day 20 on my 25 day HCG therapy for weight loss program...Day 20 on my 25 day HCG therapy for weight loss program! I am aware that after the 25 days I still have more work to do. I have to stick to the maintenance diet requirements (for 26 days). But they're nowhere near as stringent as the low calorie diet portion.

But still...Day 20 sounds utterly fabulous! And I'm going to go with the utterly fabulous feeling today. I got on the scale this morning and I stayed the same. But my jeans are lose and I need to go buy a belt so I'm not in the least depressed that I've stayed the same for a day.

I took my B vitamin supplement first thing in the morning. It's a fabulous energy boost; best I've ever run across. It doesn't make me on edge at all like regular energy pills often do and I don't notice any sort of negative moodiness. I took my HCG as prescribed throughout the day. I haven't found it too difficult to stick to the three times daily rule.

I decided to try a smoothie recipe from the cookbook so I went out this morning and bought a blender. (I broke my old one a few months back and never got around to replacing it). I tried the Orange Slush with the grilled chicken, steamed asparagus and Melba Toasts I made for lunch. It was really good. I think my kids would really like it. I might try it for breakfast tomorrow and see if they go for it.

For dinner I had baby spinach (the way it is presented in the HCG Diet Direct cookbook) with Melba Toasts and more grilled chicken. I remembered before I had chicken twice in a row that I'm supposed to have different proteins for lunch and dinner, but I did it anyway. I guess I was feeling a tad lazy and didn't want to cook knowing I had leftover chicken in the fridge.

I decided to have another Orange Slush after dinner and didn't think about the fact that the blender is really quite loud. It woke the kids up, of course! So we all had Orange Slush. They loved it and they DO want to have it for breakfast in the morning. - 29161
