Treat Your Spouse - Get Fit For Christmas

By Bart Forcey

If you are thick around the mid-section you have an increased risk of developing everything from heart disease to diabetes. The future could actually look quite scary if the fat around your core is not taken care of before it is too late. This is when most people ask the big question: how to lose your belly fat effectively?

There obviously is not secret diet plan, protein shake, or dietary supplement that is going to magically dissolve all of your belly fat overnight. If there were, you would certainly be skinny by now with all of the diets and gimmicks you have tried, right?

While there is no big secret that can make this process easy or extremely quick, there is a way to make it happen. You can keep searching for some big secret that will make it less painful, but it will always come back to the same method that works for removing fat from every other area of the body as well: eating right and exercise.

Once you stop eating more calories than your body needs to function for one day, you can jump into some cardio exercise sessions and start the process of burning off the fat from your entire body. Cardio exercise is what forces the body to burn calories and thus burn off more fat. Once your body effectively turns the food you are currently giving it for energy, it will be forced to start pulling from those fat stores to get through the rest of the day and power through that intense walk on the track. But, you have to be eating less than what your body needs for all that activity.

So, what's the catch? You can't make your body pull that stored fat from your belly rather than your hips or some other location. That said, many people do notice a reduction in the waist first once they commit to a regular program of exercise along with the proper food intake.

How to lose your belly fat through food control is simply by not adding any more fat to your body. Processed foods that are high in sugar and refined grains such as white pasta and bread are extremely likely to be stored as fat in the body. Instead, go with fruits and vegetables, lean meats, and limited portions of whole grains.

Learning how to lose your belly fat really is not very difficult at all. If you stop searching for a miracle cure that doesn't exist and focus on getting to the real work of making it happen through proper diet and heart pumping activity, you will have that slim figure much faster. - 29161
