How To Lose Weight Fast By Applying Simple Scientific Principles

By Cindy Burgenstein

I went down to the bookstore the other day. I was impressed by the vast amount of books they had on fat loss and weight loss. And they were right there, in the front of the store. Impossible to miss.

Why were they there up front, and not hidden some place in the back? Because most adults today are overweight. Which means that most people that walk into a bookstore might be in need of a weight loss book.

If you browse through these books, you'll notice that they have as many different methods as the colors on cover. Some are fairly straightforward, while some seem to promise a a miracle cure. So how do we know which one to use?

At their core, any weight loss plan must include some kind of diet, and some kind of exercise program or plan. As much as we'd like to take a pill and wake up with six pack abs, that doesn't come easy.

The human body is pretty simple in this regard. Eat more than you burn, you get fat. Burn more than you eat, you get skinny. It's not that complicated. But what most people don't realize is that with a high enough metabolism, we can burn plenty of fat just sitting around.

A fantastic way to do this is boost your metabolism, and not with pills or goofy drugs. The higher your metabolism is, the more fat you'll burn just sitting around watching TV or reading a brilliant article on the Internet.

The easy way to do this is by increasing your lean muscle mass. And the perfect way to increase your lean muscle mass is through exercise, or more specifically, resistance training. This is something you want to gradually increase over time.

If you start out like most people, sign up at a gym and vow to spend an hour every day, you'll likely burn out pretty quick. Slow and easy is the best way. Before you know it, you'll be burning fat so much you won't be able to keep up. - 29161
