My Search for the Diet Pill that Works

By Jackie Lakewood

For 30 years I've been searching for a diet pill that works - really works! Not a caffeine pill or one that's full of ingredients that make your hair feel like it's marching across your head. You know what I'm talking about. Those that make you just a little bit jittery and a lot "on edge"?

I won't name names here but you can buy them at the drug store. I don't buy my health care products from the drug store. They all seem to be full of "drugs" or chemicals that I don't want in my body.

There's really no excuse these days to not know what effects to expect from any product. The information is readily available online. Know the product before you take it. It may contain ingredients that are not beneficial or that may interact with some of your medications.

But let's get real. We didn't put the weight on overnight and it's not going to disappear that way either. No matter what the sales people say, in order to lose weight, you're going to have to cut calories. But what if you can't seem to curb your appetite or you never seem to be full? Now that's a problem that can be solved.

There are many diet pills on the market that work by making you feel full so that you can cut the calories needed to lose weight. Just be sure you choose one that is all natural and doesn't contain any ingredients that may cause serious damage to your body. Let's look at some of the types of diet pills that can help you.

Hoodia Gordonii - From the cacti family and used to trick the body into thinking that you've just eaten and are full. Hoodia has been used for thousands of years by the San Bushmen of South Africa. They used Hoodia to stave off hunger while out on long hunting trips. This plant is expensive only grows in the South African Kalahari Desert so beware of products that are not 100% authentic.

Resveratrol - You may have seen the press on this popular anti-aging antioxidant. Resveratrol is found in red wine, grape skins, blueberries, cranberries and a few other plants. It is commonly touted as an anti-aging product but the problem is that you have to consume massive quantities of it to realize the benefits. Luckily, they have packaged it in capsule form that contains as much as 200 glasses of red wine without the calories! Resveratrol alone isn't enough to help with losing weight. You'll see it combined with other ingredients such as Green Tea and Chromium to make it a really well-rounded product.

Acai Berry - A rain forest fruit that's known for its detoxifying and rejuvenating properties. Acai Berry is loaded with nutrients that contain naturally occurring Omega-3,6 and 9 oils. You will also see it combined with other ingredients such as Green Tea, the amino acid L-theanine, and chromium to assist with weight loss.

These are my favorite diet pill products and the only ones I know will help me lose the weight and at the same time have a positive influence on my overall health.

Consider the following when making a decision on which diet pill to choose.

1. What are the ingredients used by the company and are they safe?

2. How much does the product cost? Does the company offer a free trial?

3. Is there a money back guarantee if you don't like the product?

The best place to get the answers to these questions are online reviews. Make sure you do some due diligence and look at the ingredients, product safety and effectiveness, and the cost. - 29161
