HCG For Weight Loss

By Jerry Roe

The body naturally produces a hormone known as human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG). Medically speaking, it has many functions for treating various conditions.

During a woman's pregnancy, this hormone doubles every two days. The hormones purpose is to mobilize fat for the use of energy for the mother and her fetus. So when the body needs immediate energy, this automatic reaction occurs, allowing the body to function.

Since all women experience the higher levels of HCG during pregnancy, with no adverse effects, it has been introduced for dieting and weight loss. Since it is used in very small amounts, it seems to have absolutely no side effects.

When using HCG for weight loss, only small amounts are used to capitalize on this same theory. By using HCG and a low calorie diet, it triggers the body to use up the stored fat that is in the body. HCG works to mobilize fat for utilization by the body only when there is a significant decrease in calories and fat. You must create a starvation state for HCG to work for weight loss.

So, can you lose weight by simply using a very low calorie diet? the answer is yes, but also keep in mind that the body stores fat during times of deprivation. This causes cellular metabolism to slow down, creating a decrease in bone density and muscle mass. So in reality you would be harming bone structure and muscle mass, leaving it much easier to gain weight back faster.

By using HCG with the low calorie diet, extra fat is mobilized for energy and the rest is eliminated; the low calorie diet is vital in preventing immediate refilling of emptied fat cells. You benefit by preferentially getting rid of excess fat without affecting your bone and muscle.

HCG is often referred to as "The Weight Loss Cure". The reasoning behind this is that it will reprogram your body to to use stored fat for energy during periods of time where calories are reduced. Therefore you will maintain the weight that you are at and not regain lost pounds. - 29161
