The Weigh Down Diet: What is it About?

By Jo Northwood

We all know better now than to jump on any fad diet bad wagon, but when the Weigh Down Diet has been going for over a decade and has helped hundreds of thousands of people it is impossible to ignore it. Stop following food and follow Jesus instead is what the slogan of this new diet to hit the UK shore lines is.

On first impressions this can be quite confusing. How is Jesus going to make me thin? How can this succeed where all else has failed? These are just a couple of questions that ran through my mind when I first came across this diet. But on deeper inspection I realized that the diet does not boast that it can shift however many pounds in however many days, it testimonial is saying that it can help you with the root of your problem.

Comfort eating effects everyone at some point in their lives. Unfortunately some people end up in the never ending cycle of comfort eating. They try diets but because of all the false information and gimmicks around now they don't lose any weight, get depressed which causes them to start eating again.

Comfort eating is something one may do to help with emotions. Food tastes nice and therefore will make you feel better, if only for a short while. Everyone goes through trouble times, but using food to help cure the emotional problems are just going to leave you overweight and depressed.

With religion being the main focus of the Weigh Down Diet you may think it does not apply to you. But you do not need to be religious to understand the principles. Have a think if you have let food control your life, every one of us can probably say it does.

Wouldn't it be better if we could tackle the source of the issue rather than just trying to cure it? Feel fulfilled in yourself will stop you overeating to fulfill your void. Replacing the need in your heat with love and happiness.

The Weigh Down Diet has been very successful. As participates are given the strength to resist food through the love they have elsewhere in their life. - 29161
