Alright. So I told you yesterday that the package arrived. I told you about the products included. And I left you hanging with the promise that today I would share with you what was included in the HCG protocol for weight loss Instructional book. So here goes!
It starts off with a little bit of info about the HCG diet in general. It basically went over the basics outlining my (and probably your) negative relationship with food and the reasons for it (society, bad habits, convenience foods, etc). Then it went over how following the HCG protocol for weight loss changes that relationship. It discusses the HCG's interactions with the body and how the lack of appropriate HCG levels in our bodies has created an obesity issue in a large portion of today's society.
Then you get some general words of wisdom about what's to come on the HCG diet. They said stuff like...don't be surprised by zero weight loss one day followed by a couple or a few pounds lost the next. That's normal. It's because of the way your body responds to the HCG and the fat cells that are being emptied as you follow the 500 calorie diet. When a fat cell is emptied it's often filled with water temporarily before your body decides to absorb it.
Another good section to discover in the book was the Helpful Hints and Products section. One helpful hint was to avoid salt. It apparently increases your probability to retain water. It also suggested that you can't use lotions and moisturizers on the HCG diet. They've got oils and fats in them that negate your purpose. And another helpful hint was buffalo. They said it's a very healthy meat and that you should check at your local health food store to see if they carry it. It will give you a bit of extra variety between your steak, chicken and fish.
And THEN they started to get right down to it outlining the HCG protocol for weight loss. First I have to say that they did say absolutely no diet soda or Crystal Light. I'm disappointed, but I understand. It's definitely not good for me, I've always known that. But they don't allow it on the diet because of the type of sweetener it uses. You're also not allowed gums or mints. We already discussed how lotions and moisturizers are outlawed. You also can't include butter or oil or any sort of dressing that has any oil or fat in it with any of your foods. The rules for taking the drops are simple. You have to take them three times per day. Each time you take the designated amount and hold it under your tongue for 15 seconds before swallowing. You don't eat or drink for 15 minutes before you take it. And you don't eat or drink for 15 minutes after you take it.
There were many more helpful hints and I'm sure I'll share some more. You'll have to keep reading the upcoming articles outlining my progress on the HCG diet. It should get even more exciting here soon. I start the day before Thanksgiving! - 29161
